A trike tour in Sydney

is just the right thing to do when you are exploring Sydney. We can show many sights in a short length of time. Our passengers are visiting Sydney for the first time so decided to do the trike tour.

Craig picked them up from outside the Glenmore Hotel in The Rocks. They rode over the Sydney Harbour Bridge for a look at the lovely views. Looking across Sydney to the Opera House and the city is a beautiful sight. From there, there is a different perspective of the Harbour Bridge.

They continued on under the north side of the Harbour Bridge. Next was a look around North Sydney. The tour continued as they rode back over the Harbour Bridge. They rode via Macquarie Street to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. This is part of the Domain precinct which is on Macquarie Point.

is stunning. You look westward towards the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Then they rode past Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool to Woolloomooloo. The trike tour in Sydney came to an end far too quickly, however, it is a great experience and a good way to see some of the major sights.

The Glenmore Hotel was built by Brewers Tooth & Co in 1921 and is one of the last surviving pre-Harbour Bridge buildings on Cumberland Street. The site is known to have been occupied from the early years of 1800, although it is likely that, like the other ridges of The Rocks, it was occupied by the encampment of settlers in the first weeks of the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788.

Christine + Sonja 09.03.19 – 14th birthday surprise ride

A 14th birthday surprise ride testimonial – Even before the rider (Craig) got back Christine wrote to us: “Thank you for the fabulous Troll Tour with Craig for my Granddaughters birthday. Will recommend this to all.” We love happy customers!!

Grandma organised a 14th birthday surprise ride! Sonja just didn’t know what was happening. She sure was happy though. Christine had organised the surprise ride earlier in the week and was so happy we could do what she wanted.

Craig picked them both up from grandma’s place. This was in the inner west of Sydney. They did the 3 Bridges ride.

The 3 Bridges ride

The 3 Bridges ride is a good one. Firstly Craig rode them over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. As we have previously mentioned, we love it! It is a wonderful structure to ride over. We love to lift our head up to see the arch in all its glory. We aren’t talking about the riders though, they keep their sight firmly on the road.

First stop is Kirribilli. As you can see by the photo this is a great place to look across the harbour. The view really is impressive. The first thing you will see is the Sydney Opera House and the CBD. if you look right you will see a different perspective of the bridge.

Then they started their adventure again by riding into the lower north shore suburbs. This led them into the inner western suburbs where the record building Gladesville Bridge is. It is the second main bridge on the 3 Bridges ride.

The next place they rode to was ANZAC Bridge (a cable-stayed bridge). BUT, there was a detour though. A really good one which always happens on the 3 Bridges ride. The detour was the “Bay Run”. It is a 7km footpath for walkers and pushbike riders which travels around ‘Iron Cove’. This is a very scenic inlet of Sydney Harbour.

After the Bay Run they rode over the wonderful ANZAC Bridge and back to home in the inner west. A 14th birthday surprise ride was the perfect present for a teenager! Grandma loved it also.

The wedding anniversary Harley tours was a great way to celebrate an important occasion. Kevin was given the Harley ride as a Christmas present. So Julie decided she’d like to do a Harley ride as well.

They are from Orange (4 hours west of Sydney) and decided to celebrate their wedding anniversary by doing the Harley ride when they came to Sydney. Phil and Perry picked them up from their hotel and took them on the experience of a lifetime.

They rode over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge

They rode over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and did the Kirribilli Loop. The Loop has wonderful views across Sydney Harbour towards the Sydney Opera House and the city. It also takes you under the north end of the Harbour Bridge. Therefore, this will show you a unique aspect of it.

They continued into North Sydney for a quick look before heading back over the bridge. Then they rode past the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens. There is a beautiful view towards the west of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Next they rode past Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, a chair carved out of stone. They rode into Woolloomooloo where the iconic and original Harry’s Cafe De Wheels is located.

They continued on through the infamous Kings Cross before heading to Circular Quay. So then they could start to explore Sydney on foot and have some lunch.

The wedding anniversary Harley tours was a great celebration of an important occasion. An experience they will never forget and one they absolutely loved.

Mrs Macquarie’s Chair (also known as Lady Macquarie’s Chair) is an exposed sandstone rock cut into the shape of a bench. It is on a peninsula in Sydney Harbour. It was hand carved by convicts in 1810 for Elizabeth Macquarie. She was the wife of Major-General Lachlan Macquarie, Governor of NSW.

This sure was school holiday fun Sydney. Their grandma wrote on TripAdvisor:

Wow
4 teenagers on school holidays – 2 females, 2 males looking for something different. Great vibe, great ride, great Tour Trike Leaders Craig and Steve. Interesting places to see. Easy to recommend to anyone to try and great to give or receive as a birthday or Christmas present.

Their grandma also wrote on an email “They all really enjoyed their ride and stated that Craig and Steve were lovely.”

McMahons Point is a harbourside suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, NSW Australia. McMahons Point is located 3 kilometres north of the Sydney CBD.

School holiday fun Sydney is easy with a trike ride. Grandma organised the experience for her teenage grandchildren for something different and memorable during the school holidays.

They drove to McMahons Point because they live out of the city. This is a good place to park the car and it is safe for our trike and Harley riders to stop. Craig and Steve picked the teens up and rode them through some of the lower north shore suburbs.

Next was the fabulous ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. An experience we never tire of as it is an amazing structure. Then they rode around the Royal Botanical Gardens and past Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.

Next was a quick ride through the city and back over the bridge to the car where Grandma was waiting. It was such school holiday fun Sydney and an experience they won’t forget.

A trike Eastern suburbs tour was the perfect experience for our passengers. Craig picked them up from their hotel and rode up Oxford Street which is where the Mardi Gras Parade marches up. Next main point of interest was the lovely Centennial Park and then Bronte Beach. Bronte Beach sits on Nelson Bay, surrounded by Bronte Park.

Then they rode past Tamarama Beach, Bondi Beach and Rose Bay. They cruised past the ‘Cruising Yacht Club’ at Rushcutters Bay before returning to their Hotel.

They saw so many of the famous sights in Sydney and loved every minute of the experience. Gave us a 10 out of 10! An trike Eastern suburbs tours will show you the best of the eastern beaches.

Jo + Kathleen 02.01.19 – New Year Cruising around Sydney

Jo wrote to us on TripAdvisor about the New Year Cruising around Sydney tour:
“I bought this as a gift for my Mum, who is visiting from UK, for her Christmas present. She has talked about doing this on her previous 8 visits, but “never got around to it” so I thought it was the perfect surprise. Steve took us on the 3 Bridges tour, taking in the sights of Sydney. From the start he snapped pics, laughed and joked and made our trip so much fun. Mum had an awesome time. I highly recommend Troll Tours, a huge thumbs up from us both!”

A New Year Cruising around Sydney tour was definitely an experience our passengers wanted to do. They met Steve at Circular Quay and he rode them around on the tour. The first bridge was the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. In our 12 years of doing tours, we never tire of seeing the arch from below. It is a great view from the trikes and Harleys as there is no roof to stop the view. First stop was Blues Point with the gorgeous view across Sydney Harbour towards the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

They continued on into the lower north shore suburbs which led them to the inner western suburbs. There they rode over the second major bridge, the Gladesville Bridge. It has wonderful views along the Parramatta River to the Harbour Bridge. It is good seeing the city and the Harbour Bridge from a different perspective.

The Gladesville Bridge leads onto the main arterial road, Victoria Road. They travelled on it for a short time before turning off into the suburbs of Drummoyne and Leichhardt where they followed the Bay Run. It is a 7 km walkway used by walkers, joggers, dog walkers and bicycles. It follows around Iron Cove which is part of the Parramatta River.

Then onto the third bridge the fabulous ANZAC Bridge. The bridge was given its current name on Remembrance Day in 1998 to honour the memory of the soldiers of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (known as Anzacs) who served in WW1. An Australian Flag flies atop the eastern pylon and a New Zealand Flag flies atop the western pylon.

Each of the bridges has an interesting history and each is constructed very differently so the trike tour of 3 bridges is a good ride to do. Also, each bridge has beautiful views from it. New Year Cruising around Sydney – well, actually any time of the year is a really fun experience.

On the City Harley ride Sydney Nada got to see all the main places in the CBD and inner suburbs of Sydney. Perry picked her up in the inner west of Sydney and rode her to the Royal Botanical Gardens and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. They also went through Woolloomooloo, past the Finger Wharf and the infamous Kings Cross and out to Bondi Beach.

Woolloomooloo (/ˈwʊlʊmʊluː/WUUL-uu-muu-loo) is a harbourside, inner-city eastern suburb of Sydney. Woolloomooloo is 1.5 kilometres east of the Sydney CBD. It is in a low-lying, former docklands area at the head of Woolloomooloo Bay, on Sydney Harbour.

Woolloomooloo was originally a working class district of Sydney and has only recently changed with gentrification of the inner city areas of Sydney. The redevelopment of the waterfront, particularly the construction of the housing development on the Finger Wharf, has caused major change.

The Finger Wharf is a heritage-listed former wharf and passenger terminal and now a marina with residential apartments, hotel and a restaurant. The Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf appeared during an era of large finger wharf building. It was built on the site of Sydney’s first fish market (1872-1910) for the Sydney Harbour Trust, which was created in 1900 to bring order to the chaotic state of the wharves throughout the harbour and began a substantial rebuilding program. The jetty was commenced in 1910 and it was largely completed by 1913.

On the City Harley Ride Sydney we drive past Finger Wharf but we don’t stop. It is definitely worth a look through if you are walking past.

Nick + Tessa 21.12.18 – trike ride Eastern Sydney

Nick and Tessa did a trike ride Eastern Sydney. This is what they wrote on TripAdvisor,
“We had a fabulous morning riding around Sydney and couldn’t stop laughing and smiling the whole ride! Craig was a fantastic driver who made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the tour! We were able to stop at many destination and saw amazing views. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone whether a tourist or a Sydney local was a fun morning and an Amazing way to see some of Sydney! Katrina was very helpful throughout the booking process and made it all very easy and stress free!”

Nick really wanted to do the trike ride Eastern Sydney again. He did it last year and had to save up again. Nick has cerebral palsy and the trike is perfect for him. He can sit in the middle with a seatbelt on and the back of the drivers seat keeps him in. His carer Tessa went with him and they had a ball. As you can see by the photo, there are grins from ear to ear.

Craig picked them up from near Jeffrey Street Wharf, drove them over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, around the Royal Botanical Gardens and past Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. Next they drove through Woollomooloo and the infamous Kings Cross. They headed out through the eastern suburbs to Bondi Beach, probably the most famous beach in Australia.

After exploring the area they drove back through the city and over the bridge to Kirribilli to their van. A trike ride Eastern Sydney is a wonderful way to see famous parts of Sydney. You will see all the famous sights such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, The Royal Botanical Gardens, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and much more.

Visiting Sydney, Sandy thought it would be a great idea to organise a surprise trike tour gift. Anthony got a huge surprise and loved every second of it.

Craig picked them up at Circular Quay and rode to Blues Point. It has wonderful views across the Harbour to the Sydney Opera House ans the Harbour Bridge. They then went to Jeffreys Wharf, it has beautiful views across Sydney Harbour from a different perspective. Then they drove back over the bridge to Kings Cross and through the Royal Botanical Gardens to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. They then returned to drop off at Circular Quay. Hi Katrina,
Just wanted to let you know that the group had the most awesome time on Monday.

The adults with disabilities trike ride is fun for all. A few times a year 3Bridges Community organises the rides with us. The passengers and the staff all love the trike ride so much. Brian meets them at Centennial Park and takes a few at a time on a ride around the park. Because of privacy we won’t show the adults with disabilities trike ride photos.

If you have a group of children or adults with disabilities a trike ride is a great way to give them a safe and fun experience. The trikes all have seatbelts.
