The southern surprise trike transfer was organised by her friends for her 50th birthday.
We organised a trike rider to pick up from the southern suburb of Scarborough, 65kms south of Sydney. The idea being we take them on a fun trike ride along the coast with a drop off at the party in Wollongong. This area south of Sydney is beautiful. The drive along the Grand Pacific Drive goes close to the edge of the coastline.
Firstly, after picking up at Scarborough they headed north to the Sea Cliff Bridge. It’s a short ride of 2kms and it is well worth riding over the bridge. The Sea Cliff Bridge is a balanced cantilever bridge 665 metre long. It is also a great viewing platform for migrating whales heading north/south during migrating season.
After that, our rider rode them back over the bridge and along the southern coast. They rode through the lovely little villages such as Coledale, Austinmer and Fairy Meadow. Our passengers loved it and took so many photos and selfies.
However, the 1 hour was up so quickly so the rider dropped them off at the Wollongong address. The party had started with the southern surprise trike transfer and was going to continue with cake (and other things) :-). In conclusion, what better surprise present could there be?
Wollongong, informally referred to as “The Gong”, is a seaside city located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Wollongong lies on the narrow coastal strip between the Illawarra Escarpment and the Pacific Ocean, 68 kilometres (42 miles) south of central Sydney.
